Doggy Update

I have not posted photos of the kids in a while, Red is now 7 Months old and well over 70#s, and Bella is just full of energy as ever! Here are some shots from the last few days.

Dog & Life Update

Alright everyone, for the few that follow me, I have been slacking lately. I am behind on getting the bull riding photos posted from recent events. Due to some issues that some crazy neighbors pulled us into at the apartment complex we were living in, in Katy Tx., we ended up finding a place and moved and been working on things around the new place. So I have not had much free time on my hands.

We moved out to Somerville Tx. just north of Lake Somerville (which will be nice during the summer). We found a nice little place, thanks to a customer, and it is on about 600 acres, the dogs are absolutely loving life now. Every day they get to go for runs, chase some wild life, and hopefully soon we can start doing a little hog hunting training.

In this update I just wanted to show a few photos of the new place and recent photos of Red, he is growing so fast, I almost cant wait to see what he looks like full grown. Here he is 4 months old as of 4-21-13, and he is over 40 pounds now. I really am hoping that he finishes up around 115-120 lbs and if I have anything to do with it, he will be solid muscle, no fat! Fat Ridgebacks are unhealthy Ridgebacks! Anyways hope you all enjoy the photos. I will get some more of them out in the pastures next week, the wife and I are off to Locust Grove Oklahoma this weekend for a UBBI Futurity. Thanks for reading!

Red Mans Life

I would like to introduce our newest edition to the family, “Gautreau’s Red Little Lion Man” aka “Red” my full blooded AKC registered Rhodesion Ridgeback aka African Lion Hound.

We got him Feb. 24, 2013 and he was 9 weeks old and about 15 lbs. Today he is 13 weeks old and 33.5 lbs, he has double in size since we got him, and gaining about 10 pounds every month. I am hoping he will weigh in at about 90-120lbs and thats with him being in excellent physical condition as my female is. A lot of people jump into owning these dogs and do not realize how much time it takes to raise them. You actually have to raise these dogs and train them, or they will be out of control, they need daily exercise, we spend a few hours almost every other day taking our dogs to the state park to run them and let them play and exercise. Owning these dogs is a way of life, not just having a dog.  Ill continue to post updates as he grows thanks for following.
